Gresham Street is coming alive for two West VIllage Fringe Fridays on 11 & 18 March 2022. Gresham Street is home to some of Adelaide’s finest venues, where festival goers can enjoy great food and drinks, burlesque performers, fire-breathers and more.

With gates opening at 4:30pm, DJ Soulshine and DJ Dave Mathmos will already be setting the scene, welcoming crowds to all that the West End has to offer.

As you make the most of the last shreds of warm weather, you may as well help reignite some of Adelaide’s best venues while you’re at it.

Our mission is to bring some more free public vibrancy to the West End!” said  AWEA President, Taren Hocking.

“…and to the Adelaide hospo businesses who have been doing it so tough over the past few years.”

As you gather your bearings, you’ll be able to peruse vinyl and sip on moonshine at live-music haven, MississippiMoon. The small bar’s extensive record collection includes Alabama Shakes, ALT-J, Bruce Springsteen, Crowded House, David Bowie, John Lennon, Jeff Buckley, and so much more.

Dragon Mill fire twirlers will be making appearances throughout the night, demonstrating world-class fire spinning and dancing skills.

Australia’s spectacular serpent dancing seductress Flavella L’Amour and her stunning native Australian pythons will also be making an appearance from 10pm onwards.

Apéro or Apéritif’ literally means the ‘time for a drink & snack’ in French – and the Gresham Street Party is absolutely the time for that.

Parisian La Buvette is guaranteed to catch your eye tonight, with its continental bistro vibe, its extensive wine list, and deliciously crafted cocktails. So bring your friends and enjoy the remaining Fringe festivities.

If books are more your thing, the Bibliotheca Bar and Book Exchange will also be open for you to find a nook, grab a glass of wine, and select your next good read.

Whether joining the party for knock-off drinks or hyped to stay late into the night, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone.
