The Adelaide West End Association is committed to improving the safety and amenity of our city. We are very proud to be working with the YWCA of Adelaide on a new initiative to improve the saftety of women in the city and by extension a city safe for everyone.
The project seeks to uncover and exhibit the simple stories about respect towards women from a male perspective. To kick off the project the YWCA are conducting a breakfast workshop urge all men and women with an interest in safety in our part of the city to attend. The workshop will use a pioneering social change model ‘positive bystander intervention’ to tackle the root causes of antisocial behaviours towards women in particular.
Breakfast is supplied and this project offers our community an opportunity to continue to make improvements in public safety ourselves beyond the call for more police…its time we tackled the source of the problem rather than relying on others to mop up the mess later.
We look forward to sharing this workshop with you and starting a converstion leading to real change.
YWCA of Adelaide invites men and women who are connected to the West End of the city and committed to creating a safer city to come along to this Breakfast Workshop.
