Renewal SA and the City of Adelaide have been working in partnership with local traders towards a permanent road closure following successful trial closures and community consultation. As of Tuesday 1st August, Peel Street will close to vehicle traffic. We’ll then see its transformation into a pedestrian friendly zone, providing traders the opportunity to expand their business through outdoor dining – creating a better space for both new and existing businesses to thrive.
